Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me! 34!! Thirty flipping four years old! It’s an outrage that I should be so handsome and young looking halfway into my thirties non? That’s the thing about having Krishnan Genes, we age well!
I woke to the aroma of biscuits and gravy, cooked by Amy whilst I sat down to a decorated birthday table full of cards and presents. I was very thankful to receive so many lovely gifts, clothes, a funky BBQ book, a pukka watch from Pop (missed his card lots!) and put some birthday money towards my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet. Oh yes.
Spoke to Mum and Kai via Skype which was cool and then we ventured out to go to Sundance, the Utah Ski resort owned by Robert Redford; only to find that our planned ski ride (they use the ski lifts in the summer for viewing pleasures!) was off because they’d closed the ski ride for the season in preparation for the coming winter. Bummer! Still, it was still amazing to have a look around the grounds, take in the breathtaking views of the mountains that were covered in autumnal trees that seemed to have an endless variation of coloured leaves.
Think my highlight was visiting Bridal Veil Falls.
For lunch we met Amy’s sister Ashley and her Husband Shane at Texas Roadhouse; Lorraine had a steak and it was fun to see her submerged within a culture that I love so much. Afterwards I hitched a lift back to Brad and Beccas with Shane and found out that he was also someone who lost a good chunk of their life to Diablo 1 and 2. Roll on Diablo 3!!!! TIME TO DIE!
My birthday evening was capped off by homemade Cherry pie and vanilla ice cream (thank you Becca) along with the traditional ‘Happy birthday’ song. Bravo! A fab birthday to remember!
